Over the past several years we have hosted the North Shore Summer Experience to provide summer learning opportunities for our students using grant funding from the State. Although most of that funding has been used, we will continue to offer the North Shore Summer Experience, but will need to charge for the classes.
As part of our Viking Community Committee, a group of parents, teachers, and administrators has worked to design this year's program. We appreciate their hard work and dedication! They developed this year's program, entitled Talent Exploration at North Shore (T.E.N.S.), based on the following principles:
- learning in a relaxed, inspiring, and fun environment
- offerings which foster a love of learning and allow students to explore new interests
- small group setting with a leader who is an expert in the field
Session 1 begins July 10-July 21, 2023, and Session 2 begins July 24-August 4, 2023. The cost is $99 per 1 hour course for elementary children and $149 per 1.5 hour course for middle school children. The courses will focus on five main categories including Nature and Outdoors, Learning Academy, Arts, Gaming, and Sports.
